FAQ

After the Event.

Registration links are down, but the work continues through local Friends groups. Stay close to the parks, and we hope to see you in 2027.

Are registrations open now? +

No. Registration for the April 24-26, 2026 workdays is closed now that the event has wrapped. Thank you to every volunteer who joined us, and we hope to see you in 2027.

Do I need previous experience? +

Not at all. We have projects for different ability levels, and crew leaders will walk everyone through the work before tools come out.

Can I bring my children or a group? +

Yes. Volunteers age 14 and up are welcome when they are accompanied by an adult, and minors should arrive with a hard-copy liability waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Scout troops, school clubs, and other groups are welcome, and larger groups should reach out ahead of time so we can place them well.

What if the weather changes? +

The 2026 weekend is complete. For future events, safety comes first, and registered volunteers will receive updates if weather changes the plan.

What should I expect on site? +

Expect a short check-in, a safety briefing, and clear direction from the day's leaders. We provide tools, training, water refill support, and snacks so you can focus on the work.
